Check it out – Easter is only 4 weeks away! In this part of the world Easter means spring, warmer temps, and topping up the windshield washer fluid. But more importantly, Easter is when we celebrate resurrection and hope. Keep watching this space for info about what to expect at our gatherings on Good Friday, Holy Saturday, and Easter Sunday 2022 - I’ll have more to tell you next week.

Between now and then we’re studying the Gospel of Mark in our weekend services. Thanks to pastors Rita and Brody who got us going and up to the midway point of chapter 2...I’m jumping back in on Saturday and Sunday, and I’m rather audaciously going to try to cover the gist of Mark chapter’s 3-7 in one message, and the teaser I’ll give you is this: If you don’t like religious hypocrites, you have something in common with Jesus! We’re live online and in person Saturday @7 and Sunday morning @ 9 and 11. 

If you’d like to do some reading in the Gospel of Mark during this Lenten season, the creators of the YouVersion Bible app have put together some good options. Here’s an 8-day plan that will expose you to most of Mark, and if you prefer a slower pace, check out this 40 day option.

As the crisis unfolds in the Ukraine, our hearts continue to break for the people fleeing their homes and country. Hundreds of thousands of people have fled to Poland for refuge - most of which are women and children. In response to this crisis, the Alliance Canada has put in place a plan to partner with our partner churches in Poland to provide for these traumatized people. International Worker, Bill Finnemore, left for Poland on March 8 to assist in the refief efforts. To follow his journey and for ways to help and pray, please see spac.ca/Ukraine.

30 Days of Prayer

Join Christians around the world in prayer for our Muslim neighbours April 2 – May 1, 2021. Follow together with believers around the globe using the Muslim World Prayer Guide that will inspire you as you discover and learn about the unique challenges faced by our Muslim friends. This prayer time coincides with Ramadan, which is a time of prayer and fasting for Muslims.

Prayer Guides will be available in digital copy and hard copy. Hard copies will be available in the south atrium starting the weekend of March 26/27 or you can register to receive a digital copy.
