Take His Hand and Let Him Guide You

Happy New Year Church family. As I think of you I wonder how you’re feeling entering this New Year? Hopeful? Weary? Confident? Timid? I’m a mixture of all four. As we all step into 2021 I’m grateful we have a strong tradition of starting the year together in prayer. More than ever we need this. I need this. You need this. As we intentionally turn our eyes to Jesus and take His hand, He’ll guide us into the future. He has no fear of what’s ahead and He longs to fill us with confident hope.

This year as a church family we will join together for Solemn Assembly, our week of prayer January 4-8. Whether you feel like you’re not sure how to pray or it’s something you do regularly, this is for you! There’s a 5 minute challenge for individuals or families, a 15 minute challenge or a 1 hour challenge. I really hope you’ll register for one of the 5-day prayer challenges. Whichever challenge you register for, we’ll send you everything you need including a daily email with your guided prayer time.

Solemn Assembly is a way we can be profoundly united during this deeply divided time in history. Each day, together with your church family, we’ll unite together around a common theme for that day.

Let’s do this together. Be part of Solemn Assembly 2021. Register today.

In His grace, Rita

PS: We’re also holding three evening online prayer gatherings Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8 pm. Hope you can be part of one or more of these collective prayer experiences.

This weekend, Pastor Brody kicks-off the Teach Us To Pray series, which also will tie-in with Solemn Assembly this year. Prayer isn’t something that happens naturally; it's something we learn how to do. Intimacy with the Father is a by-product of our intentional pursuit. Discipleship requires some effort on our part. Yet it’s a simple gift…a simple invitation to commune with the Father. Join online Saturday 7 pm and Sunday 9 am & 11 am on one of the various platforms.

Last week, Pastor Greg encouraged us to NOT Hate 2020, even though it has been a rough year for many. If you missed last week's message, it is available on-demand.

Solemn Assembly refuels long-time Christ-followers, spurs on those who may be stumbling in their faith-journey and familiarizes those just starting their relationship with Jesus. No matter where a person is on their faith journey or their age, Solemn Assembly is a time to rejuvenate one’s faith and build a long-lasting relationship with Jesus. This year, the focus will be on prayer. You are invited to learn more about how to pray and take part in a daily prayer challenge. Learn more...

Group Life Open House 970x225.jpg

Depending on where you are at in your faith journey, have a place to connect and follow Jesus in real life by learning how to live with purpose in community with one another through Life Groups.

Jesus’s last command was to love one another as He loves us. What better way to experience Jesus’s love for us and with one another than by being in supportive, intentional and caring relationships while learning about God.

If you would like to learn more about participating in a Life Group, an Open House will be hosted online on January 11 & 18, registration is required. On the weekends of January 9/10 and January 16/17, an online chat will take place after each service. More information about Life Groups...
