Happy Friday Friends, Today I’m moving back and forth between present reality and the near-term future. My current reality includes prep for the next installment in our Extraordinary Nobodies series. This weekend I’ll be teaching from Mark 5, a chapter containing two dramatic healing stories. My focus will be on the latter portion of the chapter, verses 21-43, and the healing of the little daughter of a ‘nobody’ named Jairus. Give it a read to get you ready, and hopefully we’ll be together one way or another on the weekend, either in person or online. The future stuff I’ve been working on includes lots of final sign-off on fall and winter details. The fall calendar is coming into focus, with relaunches planned for Life Groups and Youth Ministries...we’re preparing to welcome back full kids programming on Saturday nights along with a new start time...I’ve even been working on Advent services and about an hour ago I received a commitment from a special guest speaker for the New Year’s weekend. There’s lots to be excited about this fall! Please keep reading for more info, and I urge you to plan and pray about how you’ll engage next year and continue your journey of BECOMING a Deeply Rooted Follower of Jesus.Greg Hochhalter | Lead PastorWe are hosting a BBQ on Sunday, August 27, at 11:30 AM, after the 10 AM service, which will include a hot dog and hamburger barbeque lunch. All food and drinks will be provided (gluten-free and vegan options will be available). There will also be games for all ages! Please bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on.Come celebrate with us as we wind down the summer together! Our Saturday Night Service time is changing! Our Sunday 10 am service continues to grow. To help make room, we will be moving our service time on Saturdays to 6 pm and ask you to consider attending:Saturday, Church at 6. Why? This will open up room for our growing Sunday attendance and help to accommodate families with young children who may need an earlier bedtime on Saturday. An earlier time will also provide an opportunity for connecting more after the service. When? Starting September 2, 2023Will there be kids programming? Yes! We are welcoming back Nursery, available for children ages 0-2, and complete Kids Ministry programming for children ages 3 to Grade 6 on Saturday nights. If you are considering making this switch, we ask you to register and commit to attending Church at 6 for the fall. This will help us build a robust Saturday night church community and to help with the planning for Kids Ministry. Any questions about Church at 6? Please email us at [email protected].Join the Saturday night serving teams here.
