Hi Everyone, I am so excited to be back and with you all this weekend. I was given the space to take a big chunk of the summer off for vacation and recharge with my family, and now I’m back in the saddle and ready to go!So much going on I could tell you about, like the installation of our Online Enhancement Project that is taking place right now, the soon-to-launch new website, the half-day camps we are hosting, the new Saturday night time slot for church (which is going to be excellent by the way – lots of exciting, unique things only for you!) But the front of my mind is this weekend, specifically, is our BBQ. This weekend, our service will feature stories from our congregation – so come with anticipation to hear how God has been at work within our church family; then, on Sunday, as soon as the service is over, we will be taking over the back parking lot for a time of community and friendship. We will have activities for all ages and a fantastic meal to share together. Bring a lawn chair, and come hungry. And if you are attending the Saturday night service, enjoy your sleep-in, but plan to be with us at 11:15 for lunch! This is a weekend you won't want to miss. To help make room, we will be moving our service time on Saturdays to 6 pm and ask you to consider attending:Saturday, Church at 6. Why? This will open up room for our growing Sunday attendance and help to accommodate families with young children who may need an earlier bedtime on Saturday. An earlier time will also provide an opportunity for connecting more after the service.When? Starting September 2, 2023Will there be kids programming? Yes! We are welcoming back Nursery, available for children ages 0-2, and complete Kids Ministry programming for children ages 3 to Grade 6 on Saturday nights. If you are considering making this switch, we ask you to register and commit to attending Church at 6 for the fall. This will help us build a robust Saturday night church community and to help with the planning for Kids Ministry. Any questions about Church at 6? Interested in Dedicating your Child?There is no manual for raising kids, but God has given us something far better - the Holy Spirit, and community. Child Dedication is a way to acknowledge our dependence on the leadership and guidance of the Holy Spirit as we do our best to be an example and lead our children into a relationship with Jesus.Our next Child Dedication will be on September 16 & 17.
