Men's Retreat

Theme & Purpose: Building a community of faith through a weekend of connection and spiritual growth.
April 19 to 21 - For all men age 21+
Reason: This is a great opportunity for men who are new or feel new to find community and familiarity amongst our church men. A strong in-reach is what strengthens our church to become a place of outreach, truly being a church when all can 'belong & become deeply rooted followers of Jesus.

Goals:

  • Men finding a greater sense of community with other men within our church.
  • Men being challenged in their spiritual growth by understanding and experiencing the value of the practice of solitude.

We will worship together, circle up in table conversation, pray for one another and take time to retreat with God. We will take in adapted material from John Mark Comer's Practicing the Way's practice on Solitude. A team of men within our church has been praying for and  planning this retreat. They feel strongly that time spent with God ...in the quiet, in solitude, with others and during chaos, allows us to grow and encourage one another in faith.

"In an increasingly distracted and noisy world, we need solitude more than ever. The practice of solitude mimics Jesus' rhythm of retreat and return: retreat from the noise and distractions and to be with God, alone and at times with others... in order to return to community in love and service." - John Mark Comer

Hoping to see you there!

Note:
Registration closes March 31.
