The L̶i̶f̶e̶ Lie you live.

The L̶i̶f̶e̶ Lie you live.

Hey Church Family!

I'm really excited to dive right back in to the book of Titus this weekend! I want to continue to invite you to keep reading this little book each week while we work through this series, trusting that God might speak something uniquely to each of you!

Last weekend, we can basically summarize the message as "Jesus > Zeus". This weekend we are going to see that when the god of the day goes a little sideways, so goes the people. As we spoke about last weekend, Zeus was known as a liar, and a womanizer. This weekend, we are going to see that his likeness was reflected all over the people of Crete, so much so, that the word "cretan", or in Greek "Kretzio", was synonymous with one who was a liar. The people were known for their Zeus like lifestyle, and when the gospel of Jesus broke in to this little island, its biggest hurdle to overcome was calling the followers to die to their old self, and live into the new life, and the new gospel ethic they were to reveal to the watching world.

Paul will be fairly prescriptive here on what that should look like and mean, and there are some hurdles for us to overcome as well, should be a fun one! And at the end of the weekend, I really do belive that we will see that Strathcona County in the 21st century can at times look like Crete in the first century, which should naturally have us looking to see Paul's words to them, as words to us as well!

Hope to see you there! Even on Saturday... :)

Let's Go Oilers!!

Online Ministry Enhancement

The public weekend gathering is no longer the front door - the digital presence and online experience of church is overwhelmingly our first point of connection with the spiritually curious, and an essential method for initiating and fostering discipling relationships within our congregation. Streaming online is more than a broadcast - it's a platform with which to nurture meaningful connections with online viewers.

The hybrid church is the new normal.

To help support this new normal, we are launching an Online Ministry Enhancement campaign. For more information please see spac.ca/online.
