The Importance of Relationships

Hi Church Family,

How are you? If I had a magic wand today my wish would be to sit down with each of you and just visit. Drink some tea. Tell some stories. Learn more about your life and what God has been teaching you these days. I’m grateful that many of you do that with each other. You’ve intentionally chosen to be in regular connection. It’s so important.

This weekend I’m looking forward to sharing with you about the life of an unsung Bible hero. One who understood the importance of relationships and was willing to put his money where his mouth was! One who changed the course of history. One who risked his life for what he valued. Hope that whets your appetite for more. Here’s what I can promise you----no matter where you’re at or what your facing, what we’re going to talk about this weekend is an absolute necessity if you want to live a satisfying, meaningful life.

Whatever’s going on in your world, take it to Jesus and He’ll navigate it with you and guide you through.

God bless you and keep you in whatever you’re navigating today. He is bigger, wiser and stronger than we can imagine. Whatever’s going on in your world, take it to Jesus and He’ll navigate it with you and guide you through. He loves to be part of your day whether it’s a fantastic, a bummer, or just a plain old ordinary day.

Staff Update

Four years ago at this time Luke Knoll joined our team as a Worship and Media Director and most recently served as our Hospitality Pastor. Earlier this month Luke accepted a role as worship Pastor at a new church starting in September. We just want to bless Luke and Jess and their young family as they continue to invest their lives in service to Jesus and His church.

“I cannot begin to express how thankful I am for the genuine friendship, care, and community you have shown not only myself but Jess, Norah, Zoey, and Seth. This church community has been such a wonderful home for our family these last four years, we will cherish the time and connections we’ve made here; God has so much in store for Sherwood Park Alliance and I can’t wait to see the Kingdom impact that comes from this body of believers!” Luke Knoll

It's been one of our traditions to express appreciation to departing pastors through a financial gift. Please consider participating by clicking the GIVE tab on our website homepage. An option to donate to the Knoll love offering will be active for the next couple of weeks.

Thank you, Luke, we appreciate the years you have invested in our church.

This summer, as we bridge the distant 'back then' with the not-so-sacred 'now.' This series of messages calls out the similarities of age-locked peoples who aren't so different from us. Their stories are life changers. Sometimes they confront, sometimes they comfort, sometimes they inspire. And almost always, they lead to a continuing love affair with Scripture.

Join us online or in-person Saturday at 7 pm | Sunday 10 am (YouTube, spac.ca, AppleTV, Roku).

Past messages can be watched anytime on-demand.

Young Adult ministries exist to grow in relationship with each other, thrive in community together, and grow in our relationship with Jesus. We believe that Jesus has called us out of isolation and into a journey with Him and those around us. We strive to be a place where every young adult feels known and loved, and where authenticity and vulnerability help us to walk alongside each other no matter the circumstance.

Join us this summer on Thursday evenings at 7 pm. We gather in the back field at the church for a time of community and chill hang outs.

We're planning several Saturday day trips so make sure you check out our social media or the website (spac.ca/youngadults) for details.
