Stop Going To Church (Part 2)

Hey everyone!

I cannot believe it, but here we are. Another September is upon us and in our house that means trying to figure out what are lives are going to look like this fall. As I make the list of all the different schedules, which lets be honest at this point in my life largely revolves around my kids, I'm a little overwhelmed.

But as I have been thinking about my own engagement in church life this fall, I want to think more about the “who” in the year ahead, than just the “what”. This is the idea we are going to talk about this weekend. It will be an unashamed call to step into community life. This is the counter cultural call of Jesus in a world that screams for independence.

I like independence as much as anyone else, but if I’m not careful, that independence becomes isolation. Yet when we step out of isolation and into contribution, to live with our faith community, something special happens... Oh yeah. I'll also tell you about my biggest wedding fail.

I can’t wait to be together, hope you can get here!

We are continuing with Saturday 7pm and Sunday 10am for service times both in person and online.

Groups Open House

Groups matter because it invites you into a place of deep community where you are known, loved and encouraged to grow in your walk with Jesus.

We know community begins when we move from sitting in rows, to doing life in circles together.

On September 17 & 18, immediately after each service we want to invite you to our Groups Open House hosted in the atrium, where we want to help you journey into deep community. If you’re new and unconnected, we want you to find out about our medium sized group, called ‘Connections’. It is a safe entry point that takes you on a 4 week journey with others who are wanting to find community for the first time or willing to try again.

Child Dedication

There is no manual for raising kids, but God has given us something far better - the Holy Spirit, and community. Child Dedication is a way to acknowledge our dependence on the leadership and guidance of the Holy Spirit as we do our best to be an example and lead our children into a relationship with Jesus.

Register here by September 11 to have your child dedicated during one of our September 24/25 services.
