Short-term global mission trips aren’t about “fixing” things, they’re about joining God at work, coming alongside local churches and ministries, and learning to serve with humility and love. On these trips, we see God’s Kingdom in action across cultures, and we discover how He might be calling us to live on mission wherever we are.Freedom International, started 10 years ago by the Alliance Canada, began with a dream to see the marginalized, vulnerable, and exploited set free from oppression. That vision brought a team to Phuket, Thailand, where FFI has grown from a few vocational classes into a thriving organization transforming lives daily. By joining this mission, you can witness hope unfolding, be shaped by God’s heart for all nations, and return equipped to live His mission in your own world.

We have a longstanding partnership with For Freedom International in Phuket. We’ve sent multiple teams in the last number of years to support and witness their ministry firsthand. This year presents a unique opportunity: to join a broader Alliance Canada team of leaders traveling together during this timeframe. It’s a chance to strengthen our long-standing relationship with FFI while also connecting with the wider Alliance family as we serve and learn alongside one another.
This trip is designed for adults (18+) who are prepared for the demands of international travel. Participants should be comfortable with long travel days (including a 16-hour flight) and able to walk significant distances (up to 15,000 steps per day) as part of the experience.While applications are open to anyone, priority will be given to members and regular attendees of Sherwood Park Alliance Church, as this trip is an extension of our church’s global mission partnerships.
There will be a maximum of 12 of us going from Sherwood Park Alliance Church.
We are departing late in the day on Wednesday, January 21st, and returning home sometime Monday, February 1st. Which is a total of 13 days.

Every member of this trip is expected to fundraise $4000 towards the trip. While every fundraised dollar goes into a joint fund, all fundraising efforts are completed individually.
