Hello friends - Recent messages by some of our teaching pastors have included some dramatic confessions. For example, a couple of weeks back Jeremy Cook acknowledged his worst marriage fail by telling us about how he accidentally attempted to marry the bride himself in a wedding he was officiating! And several weeks back Brody Jespersen told us about being taken out of a vehicle by police at gun point and ordered to lie face down on the ground while shirtless on a hot highway. We have some interesting pastors in our midst! This weekend I’m going to tell you about my one and only arrest. I had a significant interaction with police while in high school...not my finest hour. But interestingly, as I reflect back, it may have been one of my mom’s finest hours as a parent. I’m going to describe how she handled it, and how it served to strengthen our relationship rather than damage it.The context is our short message series “P̶e̶r̶f̶e̶c̶t̶ Purposeful Parenting,” and in part 2 I’m going to talk about discipline, specifically about the purpose of Divine discipline and how we translate things when it comes disciplining our kids. Check out Hebrews 12:4-12 if you’re interested in a preview. In person or online Saturday @7 and Sunday @10. Be well everyone!Greg Hochhalter | Lead PastorPizza with the PastorIf you are new or feel new, join us to learn more about our church.
