The first summer, in-person gathering took place this past week in the church parking lot. Jesse Flim, Junior High Pastor shares his experience witnessing junior and senior high school youth come together to laugh, talk and express themselves with their friends and youth leaders. It’s been said that youth ministry is a thankless job, but Jesse disagrees, “So many students personally came up to me and thanked me for putting this [event] on.” What a blessing to see the joy they found in each others presence; it was contagious—that’s what community is all about.
