Remember

Hello Church Family—As I walked through our church lobby yesterday I was delighted to see the big Christmas tree under the dome being decorated. I paused to think about these sacred rhythms in our calendar. As we celebrate the marker seasons of Christmas and then Easter, we’re again anchored in the truth that God is with us and for us—that as turbulent winds blow around us, and at times within us, our souls can be secure.

In our life of faith I’m grateful too for the more micro-rhythms—the weekly and daily rhythms—that also give our lives stability. These spiritual practices such as engagement in prayer, scripture, and community, have been practiced by the church for centuries. This weekend, as we continue our series in Malachi, I look forward to bringing a really practical message that brings fresh hope and strength as Malachi reminds us how to anchor ourselves in God.

I hope you’ll join me in person or online. Remember, the new gathering times are now Saturday at 7 pm or Sunday at 9 am or 11 am.

In His grace,

Rita Penner
