Help is on the way!

Hello Church Family—Looking forward to being with you this weekend! We are at the halfway point in the book of Malachi and this weekend we’ll be focusing on the fourth dispute regarding the injustice in the world.

The people of Israel were calling “Unfair!” and wanted to know when God was going to finally give a rip about them and their situation. Again, God in his kindness will not rebuke them, but instead point towards the wonderful promise (our first glimpse) of his answer to the broken world.

Malachi says, “The messenger of the covenant, whom you look for so eagerly, is surely coming”.

This is our first hint towards Jesus, the end of the 400 years of silence, and God breaking into the story. But as we know – those on the other side of the cross – the world still hurts, and is broken. So what does this all mean for us? Come find out this weekend in-person or online.

One last thing, if you are joining us Sunday morning, you may notice some guests. We have a team from the National Ministry Centre for the Alliance Canada here this weekend on a site visit—Sherwood Park Alliance will be the host of General Assembly in the summer of 2022. Their team will be meeting with our team, and getting familiar with our space. Please join us in welcoming them. More on all of that to come at a later date!

Bless you church! I trust you are having a great week.

Advent is an opportunity to pause and reflect on the birth of Jesus and center your home around the good news of our long awaited Saviour. Before the calendar begins to overflow, make a plan to set aside a few minutes each day to remember and celebrate this Advent season by engaging in activities, prayer, and intentional conversations about Jesus as a family.

Go to spac.ca/kids to either register to drive by the church and pick up your kit or to download a digital copy for yourself!
