Hey Church Family, Happy Friday! Hope you have had an amazing week and that you are excited to top it all off with church this weekend! I’m excited to dive into the book of Micah with you as our next “Books We Don't Read". Micah is one of the “pro” prophets. A career preacher who would warn the people of Israel about God’s hand of protection being lifted from them in the view of the invading Assyrians and Babylonians. It is a message that balances our need to take the way we live seriously in order for the message and blessing we are to bring to carry any sense of hope. It points back to the beginning of Israel’s call and all the way forward to a king born in Bethlehem who will undo all the evil in the world once and for all. There’s a lot in there; I’ll try to keep it on time! I’d love for you to read Micah before you come to church, I’ve been reading it through several times in preparation for the message, and if you come having sat in it for yourself, you will be able to get so much more out of this weekend! I can read it in about 18 minutes; that’s less time than you will spend scrolling social media between meetings! Our Muslim brothers and sisters have often never meaningfully encountered the truth of who Jesus is. Come gather with us in person Wednesday March 15, starting at 7PM and let's intercede for God to be at work, drawing followers of Islam onto His pathway.Groups Groups are a gathering of people from all walks of life where you are invited into a place of deep community, where you can be known, loved, and encouraged to grow in your walk with Jesus.An upcoming support group opportunity is:Parenting Children with Special Needs Support Network - This once-a month group seeks to create a safe space to share the unique challenges, joys and demands of parenting children with special needs. Believing that every child is a unique gift who is loved by God, our goal is to encourage, strengthen, support and pray for each other in the journey. Coffee and a snack will be served.
