COVID-19 Update
From the earliest days of the COVID-19 pandemic, Sherwood Park Alliance Church has determined to model loving care for all by going above and beyond to reduce the spread. Though public health restrictions afford us some ability to gather in-person, we choose to play a community leadership role by setting aside certain freedoms in order to care for the most vulnerable and protect our health care system. Board of Elders Update
At their recent online retreat the Sherwood Park Alliance Board of Elders elected the following individuals to serve as officers: Trent Forsberg, Board Chair; Kent Maddigan, Vice Chair; Randy Liedtke, Secretary; Manny Schmidt, Treasurer. In addition, Grace Albers will remain as the named Representative to the SCA Society Board with Scott Pierce and Val Tower designated to serve as members of the Nominating Committee.

Call to Prayer: Wednesday, February 17, 8 pm
Whether you are new to prayer, not too sure how to pray or are comfortable praying, find strength and encouragement through prayer. Join us for this intergenerational online prayer gathering where you will be lead in prayer by members of our church family, lead in moments of guided prayer, and have an opportunity to pray for each other.

Junior & Senior High Youth
Starting the week of January 11, 2021, Junior High and Senior High Youth will meet online together, Wednesdays at 7pm.
Child Dedication
Child Dedication is a way to acknowledge our dependence on the leadership and guidance of the Holy Spirit as we do our best to be an example and lead our children into a relationship with Jesus. Child Dedication will be held on February 27 and 28. If you would like to register your child, please do so by February 10.
Baptism
This is a general call to anyone who may be thinking about baptism as their next step in their faith journey. While a date hasn't been set, Baptism is planned for February. With COVID-19 protocols evolving we are still figuring out logistics to ensure the correct guidelines and safety measures are followed.

2020 Tax Receipts
It's that time of year again. For those of you who have made donations to our church in 2020, thank you.
Tax receipts will be available starting February 5, 2021. You will receive an email with a link, so watch your inbox for a personal link to your 2020 tax receipt. The link in the email will be accessible until February 15, 2021, after which time you can download it by logging in to your account. If your tax receipt has not been downloaded, we will mail your receipt via post to your home the last week of February. More detail information can be found here. If you have any questions, please contact our Finance team.

Thursday Night Live
Each Thursday night at 8 pm in February we're going to have some FUN! No matter your age, you're invited to join a call on Facebook or YouTube where we'll play some games, have some breakout activities and hear some testimonies of how God is at work throughout our church community. Come out, laugh, enjoy each other’s company and have some fun on Thursday Night Live! No need to register, just log-in and enjoy! Mark your calendars!
